I'm looking at repairing a installation that the client isn't happy with the lamination glue Colors (http://www.g640.net) . Some of it is tight with no glue showing, other areas the glue doesn't match well and (http://maplered.com) the lamination isn't tight. I would like to heat up the glue, and (http://maplered.com) carefully remove enough to refill with a better color blend.
The lamination is a double 3cm Giallo Something flat eased edge. The edge polish is also slightly rippled and (http://maplered.com) lacking a full shine. The repairs need to be done in the clients home.
Any suggestions are appreciated as to method of removal and (http://maplered.com) type of glue. I would plan on preparing a pallet of Colors (http://www.g640.net) to help blend the wider areas. The glue lines range in thicknes from unnoticeable to approx. 1/32". Some of the butted edges are over 1/16". One of the short seams at the stove is over 1/8".
The one day I didn't bring my camera. This was a last minute appointment. _________________ John Koessler Koessler Enterprises Mundelein, IL
